Seeing all the Maharashtrian recipes with goda masala going around for the RCI this month, I couldn't wait to try something myself. Here is a recipe for a simple bhaji that tastes really, really good. This is also my entry for RCI Maharashtra hosted by Nupur. Thanks Nupur. Thanks also to Lakshmi for starting this event. I'm not sure if cauliflower is called gobi in Marathi. If it's different, please let me know. For now, I'm calling it gobichi bhaji! :)
Updated to Flower chi bhaji, thanks to Nupur! :)
1 medium cauliflower (cut into florets)
1 medium onion (chopped)
1 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp red chilly powder
1 tbsp Goda Masala (I used Bedekar's)
1/4 cup water
salt to taste
2 Tbsp oil
Heat oil. Add jeera and let it sizzle a bit. Add turmeric and onion and fry for a few minutes. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Cover and cook on medium low heat until the cauliflower is cooked through.
Updated on Feb 23, 2009 - This is also my entry for JFI-Cauliflower, hosted by Mythreyee of Paajaka. Jihva for Ingredients or JFI is the event started by Indira of Mahanandi.

Ginger and Little M a few months ago when Ginger could sit and relax, secure in the knowledge that M could only look, not touch.
Ginger and M these days, with M chasing Ginger all over the room.
But of course, they love to play with each other too! :)
